Data protection
The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data seriously. We treat your personal data as confidential, and we process it in line with the applicable data protection regulations and this privacy policy.
When you use this website, various pieces of personal data will be collected. This policy explains what we collect, what we use it for, and how and why this happens.
Please note that data transmitted over the internet, for example by email, can be subject to security gaps. Complete protection from access by third parties is not possible.
Legal bases for processing
We process personal data on the following legal bases:
- Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — you have given consent. This covers our enquiry form and our analytics cookies.
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — processing is needed to prepare or perform a contract. This covers quotations and order handling.
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website. This covers server logs and the technical cookies that are strictly necessary.
Data recipients
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers who help us run this website, and only to the extent they need it:
- Hostinger International Ltd. — hosts the website and keeps the server logs.
- Tencent Enterprise Mail — the mail service that receives and stores the enquiries you send us.
- Google — analytics, and only if you accept analytics cookies.
How long we keep your data
- Enquiries: kept while we need them for the commercial relationship, and then deleted. You can ask us to delete them earlier.
- Server logs: rotated by our hosting provider on its normal schedule.
- Analytics data: retained by Google for the period set in our Google Analytics property (14 months).
- Contract and order data: kept for as long as the statutory record-keeping periods require.
Withdrawing your consent
Many processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future. An informal email is enough. Data processed before we receive your request remains legally processed.
Right to object to processing
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data where we rely on a legitimate interest, on grounds relating to your particular situation. If you object, we will stop processing unless we can show compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests. You can object to the use of your data for direct marketing at any time, and we will stop immediately.
Right to complain to a supervisory authority
If you believe that the processing of your personal data breaches data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. This is in particular the authority of your habitual residence, your place of work, or the place of the alleged breach. This right applies in addition to any other administrative or judicial remedy.
Right to data portability
You have the right to receive the data we process about you, based on your consent or on a contract, in a structured, common and machine-readable format. You also have the right to ask us to transfer it directly to another controller, where this is technically possible.
Information, correction, restriction and deletion
You have the right, at any time and free of charge, to be told what personal data we hold about you, where it came from, who received it, and why it was processed. You also have the right to have that data corrected, restricted or deleted. Please contact us at any time using the address in section 2.
SSL and TLS encryption
For security reasons, and to protect the transmission of confidential content such as the enquiries you send us, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the change from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock icon in your browser’s address bar. When encryption is active, the data you transfer to us cannot be read by third parties.
Objection to promotional emails
We prohibit the use of the contact data published on this website to send promotional or informational material that was not expressly requested. The website operator reserves the right to take legal action against unsolicited advertising, such as spam email.
4. Data we collect on this website
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. They help make a website faster, safer and easier to use.
This website uses two kinds of cookie.
- Strictly necessary cookies. These are needed for the site to work. They are stored under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, because we have a legitimate interest in a website that functions without technical errors.
- Analytics cookies. These help us understand which pages are read and how visitors arrive. They are only set after you click “Accept” in the cookie bar, under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. If you click “Decline”, no analytics cookie is set and the analytics tool is not loaded at all.
You can withdraw your choice at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for this domain. The cookie bar will appear again on your next visit. You can also configure your browser to warn you about cookies, to accept them only in certain cases, or to reject them entirely. Disabling cookies may limit how parts of this website work.
Server log files
Our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser transmits to it, in server log files. This information is:
- browser type and browser version
- operating system used
- referrer URL
- host name of the accessing computer
- time of the server request
- IP address
We do not combine these data with data from other sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website.
Enquiry form
If you send us a question through the enquiry form, we collect the details you enter, including the contact details you provide, in order to answer the question and any follow-up questions. This covers your name, your email address, the product you select, your message, and any drawing or file you attach.
We process this data under Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time. An informal email is enough.
We keep the data you send until you ask us to delete it, until you withdraw your consent, or until the purpose of storing it no longer applies. This is normally the end of the quotation process. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected. Enquiries are also stored in our website dashboard, so that an email delivery problem never causes a lost enquiry.
To protect the form against automated spam, we ask you to answer a small arithmetic question. This check runs on our own server. No data is sent to a third party for this purpose.
Contact by email, telephone or WhatsApp
If you contact us by email, telephone or WhatsApp, the data you provide is stored and processed so that we can deal with your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract or a quotation, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our interest in responding to enquiries. We do not pass this data on without your permission.
When you use WhatsApp, messages are transmitted through WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. and Meta Platforms Inc. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to that transmission. If you prefer to avoid this, please write to us by email or through the enquiry form instead.
5. Analysis tools
Google Tag Manager
This website uses Google Tag Manager, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Tag Manager is a container that lets us manage measurement tags from a single place. The container itself does not set cookies and does not collect personal data. It can, however, load other services that do, and those services are described below.
The Google Tag Manager container is loaded only after you click “Accept” in the cookie bar. If you do not accept, no tag management script is requested at all, and no measurement service is started.
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used. It is deployed through Google Tag Manager. Analytics uses cookies that allow an analysis of how you use the website.
It runs only after you click “Accept” in the cookie bar. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. If you do not accept, the analytics tag is never started, and no data about you reaches Google. We have also switched on IP anonymisation.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, so that we can improve it. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use any advertising or remarketing service on this website.
You can prevent Google from processing your data by declining the cookie bar, or by withdrawing your consent later as described in section 4. You can also install the browser add-on available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
More information on how Google handles user data is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
6. International data transfers
We are based in China. When you send us an enquiry, your data is transferred to and stored in China, and processed by us and by our email provider there.
Some of our service providers are based outside your country.
- Google may process data in the United States. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Transfers are also covered by the standard contractual clauses issued by the European Commission.
- Hostinger hosts the website on servers in the European Union.
Where we transfer data to a third country, we rely on an adequacy decision of the European Commission, on the standard contractual clauses, or on your explicit consent under Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
7. Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this policy when our services or the applicable law change. The version published on this page applies.
